After Meek Mill gave Nicki Minaj  a honking 15-carat heart-shaped diamond ring in April, it seemed like wedding bells were on the horizon for the couple. But, as it turns out, the diamond was more likely a promise ring than an engagement ring.

Meek Mill covers this month's issue of Fader, and in the lengthy profile, he rapper revealed that while he and Minaj are serious about each other but they aren't yet discussing marriage.

"It's definitely real, but it ain't really time to get married yet," Mill said. "We're still learning each other, feeling each other out."



As soon as Minaj tweeted about the big ring and a great night in Miami with her new boo, rumours of engagement quickly surrounded the couple, as reports spread wildly about the upcoming events. Everyone from Mill's grandmother to Drake believed that the couple was engaged.
 


"Whatever she sees on TV, she believes," Mill said about his grandma, who called him about his pending marriage.
